About Me
For the past 20 years, I’ve built my life in Strathmore - raising my three children here, running a local renovation business, and giving back through years of community service and two terms on council. Strathmore has shaped who I am, and it’s also where I’ve chosen to put my time, energy, and experience to work. I see serving on council not just as a role, but as a serious responsibility - to listen, to lead with integrity, and to make decisions that protect and strengthen the future of our community.

During the past 2 terms, I’ve served on a wide range of committees and taken part in countless training and learning opportunities. This community investment in me has given me greater knowledge and experience which I then bring to bear in my council duties. I believe every decision council makes should be grounded in facts, transparency, and careful consideration of how it affects the people who already live here. Whether it’s evaluating a new seniors’ facility, weighing the cost of a proposed NHL-style arena, or reviewing water and recreation projects, I’ve built a reputation for doing the homework and asking the tough questions before committing your tax dollars.

Beyond council, I’ve dedicated myself to service in the community, including more than eight years with the Strathmore Handibus Association. I know the value of grassroots organizations and the difference they make in people’s lives.

I care deeply about protecting the things that make Strathmore unique — our wetlands, greenspaces, and community parks — while also preparing for the inevitable growth coming our way. My goal is to ensure that growth is managed wisely, that residents’ voices are heard, and that Strathmore continues to be a place we’re all proud to call home.

Putting Strathmore Residents First
Strathmore is a growing community, but growth should never come at the expense of the people who are already here. My focus is on protecting the quality of life for current residents while ensuring new development is managed responsibly. That means making sure our infrastructure can handle the demands of a larger population, keeping tax increases under control, and holding developers accountable for their share of the cost of growth. With all of the existing pressures we face, our cost of living is increasing at a rate that is already beyond the ability of many to keep up with, and local government needs to do what we can to avoid adding to that burden.
By putting residents first, I will continue working to:

-
Safeguard our neighborhoods and amenities from being overwhelmed by rapid growth.
-
Ensure that new projects are funded responsibly, without unfairly shifting costs onto current taxpayers.
-
Build reserves and use debt wisely to balance today’s needs with tomorrow’s opportunities.
-
Keep council decisions grounded in transparency and the best interests of the community.

Making the Most of What We Have
Strathmore has already invested heavily in amenities and infrastructure, and before rushing into costly new projects, we need to ensure we’re getting the best return on what we already own. That means extending the lifespan of our facilities, finding innovative ways to use them more effectively, and actively seeking opportunities to increase usage and revenues. By maximizing what we have, we can deliver more value to residents while keeping taxes under control.

My focus will be on:

-
Getting the highest and best use out of current assets before approving costly new builds.
-
Actively identifying opportunities to boost the use of our amenities and ensure they generate stronger revenues.
-
Ensuring town administration prioritizes efficiency and innovation in managing existing infrastructure.
-
Avoiding unnecessary spending or staffing increases that grow government and add long-term costs for residents.

Respecting Your Tax Dollars
Every tax dollar represents hard work from the people of Strathmore, and it’s the responsibility of council to make sure those dollars are used wisely. Residents should feel confident that fees and taxes are fair, that new spending delivers real value, and that government is run as efficiently as possible. By holding the line on unnecessary costs and focusing on outcomes that benefit the majority of residents, we can make sure Strathmore grows responsibly without overburdening taxpayers.

My focus will be on:

-
Setting fair fees that reflect the value of the service or amenity provided.
-
Making sure any increase in taxes or fees leads to clear improvements for residents.
-
Keeping government lean and efficient to prevent long-term cost burdens.
-
Insisting on transparency, so residents always know where their money is going and why.

A Culture of Customer Service
Local government should treat residents the way any great business treats its customers - with respect, attentiveness, and a commitment to solving problems. When residents reach out with a question or concern, they deserve timely answers and professional service. Council sets the tone for that culture, and when accountability and responsibility are made a priority at the top, it filters through the entire organization.

My focus will be on:

-
Ensuring residents, businesses, and community groups are always treated with courtesy and professionalism.
-
Making sure inquiries are addressed quickly and solutions are pursued proactively.
-
Leading by example on council to reinforce a culture of accountability and respect throughout the Town.
